Virginia United is excited to be gearing up for a new season of USL Academy! USL Academy is for elite boys aging from U16-College Aged, and regardless of club you are able to participate! This season our boys will once again be competing in the South Atlantic division and welcoming in some new teams as well as some familiar faces. We will be welcoming Salem City, and Richmond Kickers into the division, while continuing to compete against NCFC, Wake FC, and Tobacco Road. We will be competing in a 10 game season that spans from June-August, but may be subject to change based on cancellations and reschedules. The team is scheduled to train 2-3 times per week over the course of the season, but is also subject to change based on the coaches discretion.

We will also be continuing our Pre-USL Academy program, which is for our elite boys from ages U13-U16. They will not be competing in official games, but there are possibilities of us adding friendly games for that group. They will train 12 times over the course of the summer, and it gives them a taste of what is to come in the future as we try to guide them into our USL A program.

Development Academy

• Players born in 2011 and 2012
• Trainings: 12 training sessions in Roanoke over a 6-week period
• TRYOUT:
• May 23rd 6:00pm to 7:30pm (Players born 2011 and 2012) - Vinyard Field 4 and 5

Pre-Development Academy

• Players born in 2013, 2014, and 2015
• Trainings: 12 training sessions in Roanoke over a 6-week period
• TRYOUT:
• May 23rd 6:00pm to 7:30pm (Players born 2013, 2014, and 2015) - Vinyard Field 3

For tryouts:

• Check in at registration table
• Wear a light colored shirt for tryouts
• All players must wear shin guards for tryouts and please bring a properly inflated ball to tryouts
