We're thrilled to announce our inaugural "Kickoff for a Cause" soccer tournament—a dynamic day of competition, community, and compassion. This special event combines the joy of soccer with the meaningful purpose of supporting our Financial Assistance Fund, which has already made a remarkable impact by providing over $60,000 in support to our travel soccer program this year alone.

Thank you for joining our inaugural New Year's Day "Kickoff off for a Cause"! Your participation helps VA United make soccer more accessible to our community – we're thrilled to have you with us. 

The details for Wednesday are finalized. Please check below for the revised age group schedules. 

Here's everything you need to know for an exciting day of soccer – the sport that brings us all together!

Schedule & Check-In

Playing blocks: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM (2012-2014 Boys and Academy Boys divisions) 

12:30-2:30 (Boys 2010-2011 & Girls 2011-2013) *Please note - some teams have players that cross birth year divisions. Please contact your team coach if you have any questions about which block you will play in.

Arrival time: 9:45 AM for block 1 and 12:15 for block 2

Check in at the lobby upon arrival

Location Star City Soccer Center (3624 Aerial Way Dr.)

Game Format

3v3 matches with dual mini goals

20-minute games

Minimum four games per team

Game matchups announced at the field

Note: Large rosters may be split, and free agents will be combined to create balanced teams. Please understand that we are trying to provide the best possible experience for all.  The goal of the day is to provide fun, competitive matches all for a good cause!

What to Bring

Comfortable athletic wear (team pinnies provided)

Cleats recommended but optional

Parents can stay or drop off/pick up (please notify staff if leaving)

Get ready for a high-energy 2025 kickoff! We'll fill the venue with music and festive spirit, celebrate top performers with prizes, and have other surprises during the event. Each player will receive a custom t-shirt, and our VA United staff will ensure everything runs smoothly while maintaining the fun, competitive atmosphere. Let's kick off the year with some fantastic soccer for a great cause!
