Our tryout dates for the 25/26 season and registration will be launching Monday.

The club is making refined changes to our tryout process, allowing us to streamline the structure, and ensure the best environment for evaluation.

This email is broken down within the 2010 through 2007, Boys and Girls. We ask that you comprehensively review the information, and reach out to the program contacts at the end with any outstanding questions.

Boys ECNL RL and NPL

ECNL RL

Starting this season, ECNL RL boys tryouts will be conducted through an invitation-only format. By maintaining a focused player pool at ECNL RL tryouts, we can ensure every participant receives the comprehensive evaluation.

Key Points:

During registration, please indicate if you would like your player to be considered for an ECNL RL invitation, our NPL program, or both.

Our technical staff will review all applications using previously collected data, coach evaluations, depth charts, interviews with previous coaches and other assessments to determine appropriate tryout placements

ECNL RL invitations will be sent no later than 5 days before tryout sessions.

NPL tryouts remain open to all players without requiring an invitation

As part of this new tryout process for ECNL RL, male players are able to attend an' ID day. This session provides an additional opportunity for players to be evaluated before the formal invitation process begins. Participation is not mandatory, but we encourage all players to attend if possible. 

*Please note - if attending this ID day, you still must register for Virginia United tryouts.

ECNL RL Boys ID Day Details:

Date: Sunday, March 2nd

Location: Virginia Tech Rec Fields, Blacksburg, VA

Schedule:

11:00 AM – 12:30 PM | U16 (2010)

1:00 PM – 2:30 PM | U17 (2009)

3:00 PM – 4:30 PM | U18/U19 (2007/2008)

Registration: Please complete the 25/26 tryout registration to attend.

NPL

NPL tryouts will remain in the traditional style of registration and open attendance.

Male players may opt-out of ECNL RL tryouts and select our NPL program at their discretion. 

Please note NPL tryouts will be specific to your geographical location with teams in both the New River Valley and Roanoke.

Girls ECNL RL and NPL

Female ECNL RL tryouts will move to the invitation process also. 

There are no I.D sessions at this time for the female ECNL RL program, due to various logistical challenges and upcoming conflicts.

We will however add I.D dates if required at age groups where they are needed, based on tryout registrations numbers.

Female players may also opt out of ECNL RL tryouts and select our NPL program at their discretion.

ECNL RL , Pre-Ecnl and NPL - U11 (2015) through u12 (2013) - Boys and Girls

-Pre-ECNL - 2015 AND 2014

-ECNL RL - 2013 

-NPL - 2015 through 2013

ECNL RL and NPL tryouts will remain in the traditional style of registration and open attendance. Every player from U11 to U13 will be able to compete for a roster spot free from any preconceived ideas, and receive an evaluation from our technical and coaching staff. 

*Please note that there will be two U11 and u12 Pre-ECNL teams, location specific in the New River Valley and Roanoke. This will also apply to location specific NPL teams.
